Boy it's sure been quiet around THIS water cooler to start the season!!!
we like to sample all the flavours at the table 1 win 1 tie and 1 loss

Awesome shots Clive. Theres still a few hibernaculums in those coulees that have escaped the dynamite over the years. Good to see a healthy looking hen.

I and my son have a special draw and am working hard to fill the tags..
Other wise!!!!
Which season did you get Ray?
Best bet is after a major snowfall or extreme cold in the "special area".
If you need some more land to hunt I may be able to provide some leads depending on which side you are

well... more than a few are still criminals
million that is........
funny how they were just regular law abiding citizens 15 years ago....
The LGR is supposed to reduce crime but somehow they figured making millions of law abiding citizens criminals that this would somehow make the country safer!
Remember to tell all the criminals you know to make sure they register their guns as they wouldn't want to get in trouble with the law......oh wait there criminals.....silly me

Have a good one Andy

Don't know about that, I found myself envyin' the tiger fish in one shot.........
Coulda been an interesting blooper reel.
Ya ever talk to anyone at the zoo or wildlife rehab places Sun? They are usually in need of quality feed.

Too soon Brian........too soon.....
Oh well....there's always next year......which is getting very repetitive

It's looking pretty grim, and starting to feel like deja vu.......
Instead of practicing, AV should send them all to a shrink to get Chicago out of there heads......then maybe (big maybe) we could do something productive.
Was a bit of an embarrassment to watch that last game

Well are the Sedin sisters going to have what it takes to tie up the series? Montreal did a fine job last night, everyone mucking and skating and hitting. Henrik and Daniel better take some notes.
I certainly hope so. No time for the Canucks to be idling, they need to bring on some playoff hockey all the time instead of a little bit here and a little bit there.

but I have never seen a law against atlatl's
not sure what your talking about ?
atlatl's are a primitive weapon used to sling an arrow. Quite effective and fun, and easy to make to boot.
-
I considered sub sonic's !!!! I'm pretty sure they do have by-laws in place though. I should just pulling out the bow... I can just see it now, arrow skips and lodges in grumpy neighbors house, dead Jonny!
I believe archery is prohibited within city limits.......but I have never seen a law against atlatl's
-
No law against using a pellet rifle as long you follow the gun laws and it doesn't excede the specified feet per second.....unless Calgary has a bylaw maybe. Now a noise dampener on a .22 short is worth investing some research into.......

Unfortunately thats a different clan of rabbits as I'm in the Shaughnessy down by Picture Butte.
I wish you luck John, but rabbits are viewed as cute and cuddly, so most people become quite delusional with respect to control measures. Soon as people let their emotions fly then you have even more difficulty dealing with them. They have no listing as a pest either so they are pretty much free to destroy your property. If you can find out who released them they might get a slap on the wrist, and they are liable for the neglect of the animals with respect to proper food and shelter requirements.

Its becoming an issue in many communities and towns. I have tried all levels of governing bodies and mp's and all have the same opinion.......not their problem. The county office was sure upset with me when I suggested I would be dropping off all the rabbits I trapped at the office so it's no longer my problem. I am speaking of European domestic rabbits of course...not our indigenous long-legged rats. Trapping and humane disposal has been my only option and its a losing battle out here in good 'ole Shaughnessy.
I truly love having my yard raped by a bunch of inbred pets that were released by some irresponsible individual.

Aside from some potentially questionable officiating, someone needs to take a cattle prod to each and every one of the "Nucks so they can start playing playoff hockey. I have to agree with you Vic in regards to Bettman.........wouldn't it be a big shocker (insert tongue in cheek) for Nashville to go from the unwanted washed up team to all of the sudden Stanley Cup Champions.

Awesome pic. Will be out that way end of May beginning of June but probably won't get any fishing done in Nova Scotia. Luckily I should be out for at least one day with the in-laws in New Brunswick.

Well some food for thought,
Focusing on the ideological numbers set forth by the governing agencies and special interest groups does nothing to solve the issues pertaining to grizzly bears. So if we reach the goal of 1000 do we stop caring about the grizzly or for that matter if we are below 1000 individuals do we focus all our efforts to bring the numbers to 1000 indidviduals. Where does the 1000 individuals make the difference in the grand scheme of things, keeping in mind that grizzlies are not static and do not conform strictly to any ideals of a formula created by man.
did you happen to make it the public consultations regarding the two population studies done recently by chance?
-
Anyhow, with the new numbers put out recently, we are well below that.
Keep in mind that the new numbers do not include private land or national parks......
and 1,000 is an arbitrary number in the grand scheme of things, and any number could be put in place to support either ideal.

I am not even going to get going on this ... other than to toss out this ditty.
A report about the Arctic.
THE ARCTIC IS MELTING
You are likely aware that a considerable change of climate has taken place in the Arctic. The severity of the cold that has for the past few centuries enclosed the seas in the high northern latitudes with an impenetrable barrier of ice has greatly abated in the last two years. This is ample proof that new sources of warmth have caused the Arctic seas to open and may make the Arctic more accessible to shipping than for centuries.
Scoresby (research boat commander) observed last year that some 50,000 km of ice that once covered the Greenland Seas (between the latitudes of 74° and 80°N), has entirely disappeared in the past two years. He has never been before able to penetrate to the west in these latitudes and this year was able to proceed much farther to the west than in previous years.
This is totally true and it and it comes from a supposedly credible source.
Pretty shocking stuff. Anyone care to tell us the source? Any takers?
If I'm not mistaken it comes from a source that predates our current recorded weather history

What I find disgusting Kris/PGK/Tako is the fact that you have been banned from this forum before for this exact reason - intentionally stirring up the brown stuff. Then you come back on here with a different handle and have the arrogance to say that you're SURPRISED by the responses you get.
People don't forget dude. Different handle - same old BS.
You forgot BCboy as a handle as well Birchy.........The Prince George Kid strikes again
