  1. Trailers have there own breaks, you can set it so the trailer does more stopping than the truck, not recommend you should have about equal breaking power. remember a fifth wheel tounge weight is alot less than a trailer, and a tandem trailer again has less tounge weight than a single axel. tow weight and tounge weight are different.

A couple of links for you

  2. Would not buy a diesel for just pulling a travel trailer. Use a half ton sierra to pull a 28 foot fifth wheel no problem just down shift (new truck have the tow button in them that make the computer down shift faster for you). And we do pull thought the mountains. Now if you use your diesel for work or other items well then perhaps it is justified. There is no point dropping the extra money, if you will never make it up in fuel savings right.

  3. We install a Normal open push button on one of the ignition wire under the dash, you push the button down and start the jeep once you release the button the jeep runs as normal. If you dont push the button you get a click and that is it like the starter was fed. This way you dont have to keep flipping a toggle switch.

i did it with the help of a mechanic at a local service station.

  4. Remeber you can always call the Jasper park service and ask them as well. They can tell you river flows, if the bridge has been fixed, if a warden has been down there and what the trail conditions like they a have a TON of info. It was recommend to me to consider using a bike for the first portion to make the trip a little shorter time wise.

Seems Pretty straight forward, 3 weeks to go, and I have a 90%+ average. Been to the fort with my company Convergint, and i would not do that long term its not for me, although i LOVE industrial.

  6. First off, if his insurance is covering the replacement of the 4 runner, Birchy is not entitled to a lawsuit causes he is technically not at loss, that is up to the insurance company. In the AMA "black book" they say add 10% to the value of the vehicle in Alberta.

Sucks balls, for sure hope your insurance company just pays out for cost for you to purchase, i even have heard of them find you a vehicle so you don't have to shop around they do, quite like Jim peplinski does.
