  4. The only place, online, that would be around here that sells felt is bass pro. Their felt comes with a tube of glue and is $18. I haven't called any shops yet but ill give them try here I'm a bit
  5. Getting so close to getting on the water now. I was helped out from here with some waders and boot!! Now Im ready. But I was wondering about refelting the boots that I bought. They are used but that no biggie just wondering if there is a place In town that refelts and what a price tag would be. I bet it would make for a bit if a more comfortable walk. Is it a real easy thing to do it yourself? Just a few questions cause I always have them
  6. I really want to take the course at fish tales. It is just really cool to me to be able to make them. I bet the quality of them is great too once you get the hang of it. Can't wait to try it out soon
  7. i was just thinking that it could be a good little project to take on in the not to close future, i just like having those type of things to do after work and such. i was wondering if anyone has any experience with it. Like the cost of making one and time frame from start to finish. i know that this is a hard question to answer cause each to there own. but there must be a kinda rough idea. and i was in fish tales asking about the course they have and the lad told me it is about 200 dollars for everything you need. its hard to even find videos on youtube about it. this is more curiousness then anything else but who know i might want to try it one day.
  8. Holy f that's one hell of a track. I agree with the above, I want to learn things from this and why would anyone bother to bullshit a story. I thank everyone that had a story to tell cause I'm reading it and understanding more and more that I really need to pay attion when in the woods. This is nothing like home. So I am learning things!
  9. I think I'm going start making double of things on the weekends so I can dry them over night in the oven. Can you over dry something with the oven door open
  10. I don't know if this helps me feel better. Haha I hope to see something from a far. I can't wait to get out in to the hills.

  12. I'm now on the hunt for a dehydrator found a few ideas on how to make one. It involves a bulb and CPU fan.
  13. Do you have a dehydrator to make this yourself or do you buy all the ingredients?
  14. What's is it that yu take out with you when you hike. I like taking bannock. It is simple when carried in zip lock dry then mixed with water when you need it. It makes a good warm treat when your out and about
  15. I was wondering if there are any really good ones that are based on the area here? I saw a few at bass pro and though which on everyone else is readings
  16. This would be a great way for people newto the sport, like me, to learn arguing or two. I would be down for this as well
  17. What colors do you guys and girls use for the day and night. I want to try to make them just cause I enjoys making things and I will most likely be buying as well.
  18. So I bought this kit online to Ty them hair caddis. I have never dealt with elk hair before but it seems like this is a terrible patch. There is to y bits of fuzz all through it and the color is a dark brown with only tiny white tips. Is this what elk hair is sappost to be like?
  19. I know it was just every I called was closed. I'm planing on going to fish tales tomorrow. It was just I wanted to know f places did this service. I feel like a jerk taking a reel and line I did t buy at this shop and asking them to do the work. But I am going to go to fish tales cause I have heard nothing but great things
  20. So I got a sweet reel off this site. Thanks for that! It is setup for left handed retrieval I figured out how to change the bearings on it but I have to strip the line and then whined it the opposite way. I called bass pro cause fish tales was closed and they will put new line on for free I wonder will they strip it and put it on the opposite way. This now means all I need is waders and luck so I hook a big one
  21. So does any one do this. I want to start in the next month just looking for someone to go with
  22. You would want me on the hike then I can't run fast just walk for hours. Haha
  23. I have been on Alberta now for about six months and have started hiking in the mountains more and more. I was wondering when you guys go on day or even multiple day hike do you bring things like bear spray or a giant crocadle don dee knife with you. I'm not worried about big animals till they get close I guess. Haven't seen one yet and I do hope to see them from afar
