  1. lol except when you set the hook on a 4 incher while picking the line up off the water, then they fly.
  2. this is by far my favorite street view link http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=40.458262,-...375837805207798
  3. Personally I like to cook my big batches of meth in the rural areas.
  4. I'll probably just avoid the whole issue. I like to take my trips this time of year to avoid the people. Camp grounds are generally empty, I can cook breakfast in my gonch with out offending anyone. Most mornings I come with in 5 feet of deer grazing at my camp. There's also very few times when I get to where I decide to start fishing that I cross paths with anyone the rest of the day.

    Beauty of a spot
  6. ya saw that post but It's just a logical supposition based on how the title transfer should have worked but not an absolute. It's not that big of deal I guess. If I end up in the area I'll see what happens theres lots of river.
  7. Was it ever cleared up whether or not the Saras had bed rights? I know there was another post that got WAY out of hand on the subject. Just wondering as I'll be down in the area for 3 weeks if someone had found out with absolute certainty before the thread was deleted?
  8. With a statement such as that dude...and the name Orvisonly I would call you the elitist... I'm pretty sure that post was meant as humor. This comment should give you a clue that orvisonly's post was meant as a joke if you read the entire thread. I maybe mistaken but I sure thought it was funny. Also if you look at his posting history he makes a lot of funny posts on threads like these. It's almost like it's a regular posters alter ego.
  9. I'm not sure why but the "sheep" picture reminds me of a paint by numbers canvas. It's kinda like you went into the digital zoom range but I didn't think the finepix f100 had digital zoom. Its a cool effect. Did you crop and enlarge the original picture?
  10. I really don't know what there is to making a furled leader but I booked marked a couple of sites on the subject a while back this is one of them http://hatchesmagazine.com/page/may2006/185 I just glazed it over but it seemed to me at least with the initial setup and time to make it plus now know how often(barring something stupid)it would need to be replaced the time i would invest in making one is worth more than the 20 bucks it cost me. It could also be that I'm just lazy.
  11. There isn't much difference between the 11' and 12' except that little bit of extra reach. the 11' model they sell was my first purchase and if I had my choice now I would have went with a 12' just for that little extra reach on some wider corners. I've hit cataract with mine and a few other small creeks in that area and the only time I got snags was either drifting into vegitation as the water was high or missing a hook set. Also I'm pretty sure the rods from tenkarausa are manufactured in china.
  12. You may end up regreting not picking up the line unless you have access to a good quality 10' furled leader or are able to make them yourself. That being said I've never bothered with level line or tying my own leader so it could be I don't know what I'm missing. Gratz on the new rod
  13. Biohazard is bad wording, toxic would be more along the right lines I a nut shell no. It's generally reinjected to a zone below the the water table so it's segregated.
