I think part of it is because there's alot of people on here who are downright HILARIOUS.. and humor is a good way to difuse threads gone bad.
-
Can someone post it? I wouldn't mind using it for another board...

I know the fish (I think) remember seeing me last year (although you did'nt know it was me) in your hole? .. two guys in the big blue double man pontoon boat .. I pounded a monster out of that hole late last summer +/- 25 Brunie with shoulders like a linebacker... trout stick around until they are poached or until something happens to that lie they are holding in that no longer makes it desirable, such as drastic water level/temperature changes, but unless the changes are permanent, more than likely, they will return.
That's right too! Almost forgot about that. Not my hole though.. it's everybody's river.
Sweet. Can't wait to go back for him this year!

Earlier this year CDock and I started out at the Deerfoot bridge down by the Southland/Anderson turn off on Deerfoot south. Waded on the west side of the river heading north. Walked up past that LaFarge bridge and about half a kilometer or so past there I was casting out into the middle of the run when I got a hit. This beast just took off downstream as I went stumbling and splashing my way after him through knee deep water with my reel just BUZZING away!! I'm pretty sure I posted a message about it.. something along the lines of "hooked into my first hawg today".. some of you might remember.
Ran about 30 metres downstream and then stopped.. CDock said "is he still there?" to which I replied "i'm not sure". Just felt like dead weight at the end of my line. Gave a good hard tug and felt what I thought was a headshake.. gave another even harder tug and felt a big time headshake and this thing took off again.. cept this time I wasn't expecting it and didn't give him enough and he busted me off!! Sad day.
But... reading about Brownies and how little they move... that they like their spots and if you hook one in a certain spot you'll probably hook him there again another day.. or season. Then I thought about how alot of you know certain trout and have names for them. Got me thinking.. Have any of you guys hooked this same fish before? Have you landed him/her? Is it a brownie or a rainbow??
I'll be going back for this fish this coming year for sure and was just curious what i'm getting myself into. Biggest trout to date was that 24" bully I caught and this fish felt alot bigger!

After looking at those pics I would feel good buying one for myself and seeing how well it handled a rollover.
Mounties asked the kid what happened and he said "I don't know.. I had the cruise set at 110 km/h and just lost control all of a sudden".
The mounties responded to the accident with their lights and siren going and couldn't go any faster than 40 km/h the snowstorm was that bad!!

Video removed already?

thanks for the tips on the airflow, i buddy mentioned to me that with the shark skin line, if you are doing alot of streamers and heavy striping add some tape on the fingers to protect yourself-from cuts and burns.
That's good advice if you're doing alot of streamers and stripping with any line.

Better safe than sorry I always say..

Sundin won't be moved unless the Leafs are definitely out of a playoff spot. He's too loyal to waive his no trade clause unless they're for sure a write off.
Wouldn't be surprised if Forsberg comes back to Colorado actually... although Philly and Vancouver are good bets too.
The other one I've been hearing quite a bit of is Dallas and Tampa.. Turco for St. Louis straight across.

if your fishing for numbers..why not just use dynamite and a long net..
I've been thinking about this strategy to try and outfish some of you crazies!

$12,610.
Did a search for a 1999 4Runner on Kijiji, Buysell, and AutoTrader online for all of Alberta. Out of 11 results.. ZERO are under that offer.. the closest is 12,900. And out of the 11, the average price is $15,600.
Thoughts?

Yeh.. this morning sucks. Had to wear the ol' "bank robber mask" for walking to and from the bus stop today!

I read it. Pretty cool. I think once I get the single handed rod down pat then I might have to try out the Spey eventually.
-
what principle is that?
Since I always bash Sage just to bug people.
-
Bump.
Looking into the Helios a bit more. Man.. looks like a sweet rod. I think maybe I'll get one of these for my "ONE really high end rod" instead of a Sage.. just out of principle.

Edit - I'll be at the Troutfitters booth all day sunday, come bug me.
With the amount of people in there trying to snatch up those sales, I just didn't feel right about bugging you for too long!
