Got a call today from the Canmore RCMP. Vehicle was pulled over last night driving down the wrong way on hwy 1. Apparently the guy was living out of my vehicle, and had tons of stolen property in my vehicle. 10 charges laid on the guy already, and they have yet to charge him with theft of my vehicle. Bunch of needles, alcohol and *hit everywhere. No major body damage, but the inside is a nightmare. Both my rods and reels were in it, but nothing else of mine...
Holy crap Mitch!! That's the same Mountie that found our 4Runner and that we dealt with!! No joke! Constable Renaud I believe?

I'm a big fan of Russell's Sporting Goods. By about the 3rd time I had gone into the store 2 of them were greeting me by my first name!!
All I'll say about Wholesale Sports is.. if you go there, ask for Tyler.

Well.. with comments like that you won't have to worry about it.. cause you'll be staying single!

A good friend of mine has a company called GPS Police. That's exactly what they do. Except they focus mainly on commercial vehicles.

If only the security companies would install their alarms "StickDeath style" (sorry.. they're a bit graphic):

so woke up this morning to find my blazer has disappeared. beginning to love calgary. right before my reading week and had a trip planned that involved myself driving so guess that will be a no go..... birchy, how long did it take to find yours?
oh word to the wise...take out your bike, fishing gear and everything else....~$3k of *hit left in my vehicle...
I hate this fr!ggin city dude!
It didn't take long to find ours because they crashed it. I got the phone call from the mounties letting us know they had it before we even realized it was gone!
The whole process from when it was stolen to when we bought our new one was approximately one month.

Because dryfly and adc fish there?
Sorry guys.. couldn't help myself.

This just may be the first time since I've moved to Calgary that a snowfall has reminded me of home. Wet and heavy. (no 'wordplay" jokes here please

They're ALWAYS looking for people man. It's crazy. We've (in I.T.) been in shock the last 2 weeks because we haven't had any new hire orientations.. just some temps. Usually we have to do an orientation EVERY monday for at least 2-3 people if not more.
-
Any of you guys that are taking Accounting/Tax related stuff (*cough* Din *cough*).. Make sure you send me a note when you're ready to start working. They're always hiring here at Deloitte, and I don't mind referring people.

Awesome!
LS.. can you really say that you're hijacking a hijack thread when you knew all along that the hijack thread was meant to be hijacked??
-
has anyone noticed there are a lot of hockey threads?
Hey.. stop hijacking my hijack thread!

Anyone have any experience with both? Wondering how you find them/which you prefer?
Have a Trion for my 3 weight, thinking of getting a President for my 6.

In the flood year I caught a monster 27" male pig with a really distinctive toonie-sized healed over scar on his side. I posted a pic on the old FFA forum, and you really couldn't tell where it was from the pics. A few weeks later I ran into a guide who had seen the pic and knew the exact location because he'd caught the fish a few times previously.
The real hogs in the river are not as common as most folks think.
If bowcrow pokes his head in here I'm sure he'll tell you about the big brown they caught 4 times in one winter.
Rusty.. Is this him?
