  1. What gets me is that they don't plow many of the secondary roads after it snows in Calgary. I've lived in the NW for three years and many of the streets turn into sheets of glass from packed down snow. It's sometimes like this for days. Where I'm from out east every single road gets plowed every time it snows.

Yeah Back in Kingston ON if you park on the street after Nov. 1st you get towed. the tow trucks will actually follow the plow if need be.

    Every street gets plowed.

  2. 1st i do go out to escape life's crap. andfishing provides that escape, fly fishing is consuming and takes so many small thoughts to produce 1 fish:

    finding the fish

finding what the fish is eating

finding the right imatation of that

    the cast

    mend

    drift

    set

    fight

    release

with all this running through your mind every few minutes how do you have time to stress. sure hiking gets you out there, but forme it is just left foot, right foot, repeat.

I also live for the moments of perfection.

you know them. wehn you see a big'un sitting in a tough spot sipping from the surface. you watch his prey, find a close imitationin your box, select where to cast, mend and then SLURP fish on. if that happens once in a day I can go home grinnin like a 4 year old. but iwill always leave a river satisfied.

That is why I will wake at 4 on a Saturday.

  3. There is a hole new topic worse you kid did when it got "too quiet"

my 3 yr old zipped part of my beard off when I dozed on the Couch. Never left beard clippers down again

Cute kid by the way. better punishment is save that picture for a wedding reception or baby shower years down the road.
