  1. A couple of spots have recently become available in our Introductory Spey course this weekend (June 6/7). Join Federation of Fly Fishers certified master fly caster Chris Seipio for this two-day spey casting clinic on the Bow River. You’ll receive an introduction to all three styles of spey casting: greased line, Scandinavian, and Skagit. Learn single spey, double spey, circle C and snake roll casts using both hands up. Techniques learned can be used with single hand and double hand rods. The spey class is limited to six participants which means plenty of one on one time with the instructor. You’ll be amazed at how much you learn. Course cost is $295.00 plus GST. Maximum of six students. Course runs from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Call the shop at 403-640-1273 if you're interested.
  2. We've been meaning to post more detailed information about the Why I Fly Fish contest for a while now. Check out this link that outlines details about the contest. Thanks to everyone who's entered to date.... Look forward to receiving some entries from FFC participants. Nancy
  3. Birchy, They will be available on-line. https://www.albertarelm.com/
  4. Just confirmed with the AlbertaRELM help desk that '09 fishing licences will be available starting March 18.
  5. Thanks for the feedback. We've asked Aaron to be sure to use the lighter background - like the one in the Bucanero - for future ties. I'll see what I can do about a larger format for the bigger pictures. (Dave's said the same thing) Nancy
  6. Visit the Fish Tales website feature flies page for step by step instructions for select flies. We've posted a few patterns and tying instructions for flies we're often asked about in the shop. Watch that page for additional patterns as we continue to post. Dave
