Bartfly

I'm a transplanted Winnipegger, who has lived in Calgary for 26 years now. I got into Fly Fishing about 20 years ago and have been trying to hone my skills since.

I typically fish the Bow between Douglasdale and Highway 2 bridge, but don't limit myself to that. My wife and I enjoy camping so I try to camp close to fishable waters. I live in a lakeside community so if I only have a couple of hours to kill, I usually do so on our lake.

I have my own pontoon boat and float the river whenever I can. (Always looking for a float buddy to make it easier on the transportation etc.)

I've been tying my own flies for about 10 years now too, but limit myself to easier and bigger ties as my eyes just ain't what they used to be.

Been married coming up 30 years now and my 3 kids have all moved out so my wife and I are empty nesters. The wife doesn't fish so I'm always looking for company to assault the waters with.
