  1. My wife was involved in a serious car accident in 2001. She had worked for Telus for over 20 years. When she was unable to return to work due to her injuries, she was fired.

A Human Rights Case against Telus looks like it will be dismissed.

Currently, she has a lawsuit is pending against them.

I am asking everyone to discontinue using Telus, their products or their subsiduaries.

The only way to get the attention of "Big Business" is to hit them in the where it counts most; in their pockets.

Thanks to those of you who will avoid Telus products and services and for viewing this rant.

  2. An interesting note for you guys. In all my years of fishing, I've been checked by Fish and Wildlife officers once. On the other hand I've been checked by Park Rangers (now called Conservation Officers) at least half a dozen times. Places like K Lakes and Fish Creek that's very likely who's doing the checking. What that says, I'm not sure.

I haven't been checked in years. Do they want to see your WIN card, or do they want to see the cash register reciept as well?

  3. For anyone who has had cancer or lost their life to it, it is a horrible experience, both for them and their loved ones. Therefore, I will mention an article I read this month in Consumer Reports on sunscreen. It is not only important to apply it, you need to make sure that it provides both UVA AND UVB protection. Part of the article talks about nano-technology where they use particulate in some sunscreens. Review the latest article and you will find excellent ratings for some and poor for others.

Being that I work for the Alberta Cancer Board, it is important for people to educate themselves to keep their good health for years to come. The best of health to everyone......cover up and use sunscreen. Cheers
