    Pics June/july

Hey guys, hope you're all havin' a great summer, gettin' out there and enjoying some fishing. I haven't been taking many pics lately, the fishing has been getting in the way, but here are a few from the last couple of months. Hope you enjoy. We spent the last half of June and the first half of July on Vancouver Island this year. The western side of the island is pretty rugged country, with lots of little goat trails to explore in the Jeep like this one; ....and some of those goat trails lead to spots like this; and this; and sometimes right beside the highway there were some beautiful spots too..... I caught small rainbows here, mostly sight fishing, what a blast! A family friend who lives on the Island took me into this beauty of a cutthroat stream. Consistent surface action on smallish cutties, with the odd honker thrown in to keep it interesting. They just couldn't hold themselves back from SMASHING foam hoppers and stimulators 8-) . Checked out a section of the river waaay upstream one day, gorgeous pools. Cheers, Ayr.

    Pics--may

Out and about last month. June is here, bring it on !!! Cheers, Ayr.
  8. While the Pens are an awesome/exciting team and will be for awhile, this year the Wings will school them much like the Oilers were schooled by the Islanders a year before beginning their dynasty. The Wings will pick them apart with superior coaching, winning experience and most importantly their defensive corps is like nothing the Pens have faced thus far. Wings in six. Ayr.
  9. Hey Guys, What are the engine options for the Delica's again? I looked at a few when we were on the Island last summer. Very good layout of the vehicle and good features for the outdoorsman, but I remember thinking that the engine may not have the juice for haulin' cargo, like a small trailer etc. What do you guys think? Ayr.
  10. My wife and I found this Jeep to be pretty versatile. We are able to sleep in the back, when the seats are removed (they always are), we can get into the hard to reach areas, carry a boat without a trailer and makes a weather-proof tent. we called it chateau Cherokee and when it was time to upgrade, we bought the exact same Jeep, just newer. Cheers, Ayr.

  18. I had the opportunity to do a walk and wade with Maxwell yesterday. I had fished the Bow a half-dozen times in the past and I got schooled hard each time, so I figured it was time to get some professional help. I consider it money well spent on our walk and wade yesterday and a very good investment. My goal going into yesterday was to take out enough of the basics to where I could fish the Bow on my own with a reasonable chance of getting into some fish. Well the proof is in the pudding, er trout....Later in the afternoon, after the walk and wade, I fished for about three hours and landed two nice fish and that RIGHT THERE was something I wasn't able to do previously. I don't exactly have the fish surrounded yet, I know. I am excited though because I am confident that, by putting the basic principles that Maxwell shared with me into practise on; casting, presentation, reading the water, tackle, etc. that I can become reasonably effective in angling this river. Maxwell was effective in transfering enough of his knowledge to an outright beginner in a halfday to where that beginner is now confident in walking up to this river and getting after it. Who knows how much money, time, and potential frustration you saved me Maxwell. Big thanks to you for that! If you're thinking of doing the walk and wade or some other clinic, I'd tell you to go for it! Cheers, Ayr.
