  1. I'll trade you for my Teton Tioga which is somewhere at the bottom of Police Outpost lake Crogg, you have a pm
  2. Anyone else own one of these classics? Gives a new meaning to slow action. This is a Bruce and Walker Hexagraph (1st gen) 13' 10/11/12. Too bad the hexagraph design hasn't caught on. Reel is a Hardy Gem
  3. I've only read a few of Mr. Waugh's articles, and most were enjoyable, though they dealt with fishing, not conservation. There are so many errors in that article I don't even know where to begin. I have found the outdoorsmen media quite variable in the accuracy of relating science and conservation politics to the general public. Sadly, it appears Mr. Waugh has provided a hot-headed opinion here without conducting sufficient research into the subject, either on the science or politics.
  4. I feel somewhat alienated from the reel market. It seems that (unlike most gear) the rule "you get what you pay for" does not apply at all to this market. I've owned plenty of reels, and my favorite rang in at under 100 bucks and one of my least favorites was over 600 bucks. Actually, my favorite was the BFR dragonfly, which is sadly now out of production. There are now all new reels from when I last looked and I don't know which ones are good and which are expensive paper weights. I see Ross has broken into the more budget market with the Flystart and the Flywater. Anyone have any experience with these? The old bottom model lamson was a decent reel, anyone know anything about the new Konic? Finally, has anyone heard anything about these Scierra reels? BTW, if anyone has a BFR dragonfly in the 6wt range they want to sell let me know.
