Have you talked to Mel lately? Word on the street is his son is taking it over, so he may be more amenable..?

He is.  They're transitioning it sounds like.  The issue doesn't seem to be whether or not they're willing to do it, but whether or not they can find willing drivers for later in the day.

What float you thinking of? Buddy and I are just going to uber if using 22 or police. It's also ~$20 from 22 to Glenmore, and ~30ish for police to 22, or Police to glen. vs the 55 of a shuttle

obv. wont work out of town, and do lose the nicety of having your truck at the far end (can always shuttle to start the day though). Guy that sits with boat can always get the boat setup and do a bit of fishing while it's shuttled

Would be likely 22X - Police in the evenings.  Had considered the Uber option,  but time is usually the biggest factor involved,  the added time of +/- 1 hour to self shuttle is generally not an option.

I have witnessed a very similar boat as described on the stretch just below Bearspaw.

They were working for the Engineering company doing the assessment for the rebuild of the Back Channel by the Bowness Train Bridge.

They were taking turbidity measurements as well as depth and GPS co-ordinates.

Probably the same type of situation..

Quite possible...  I didn't see rods out.

Was at an office ballgame yesterday about 2pm in Shouldice Park by Bowness, and saw a jet over the bank from a distance.  Green jon style, looked set up to row.  (It was definitely NOT the Fire Dept. boat). They fired up and ran back upstream from there.  What is the upper jet boat limit anyway, if someone can comment with accurate info?

If you run a double line, having the swivel on the anchor/pulley end is more ideal for moving water (looks like the previous pic was a jon boat in a lake?).  I looked at the MEC swivels, and realized that the extra connections to mate up to the pulley I had put the achor in the water enough when hauled up to be a pain in the ass.

Did you end up fixing your twisting issue. That is the reason I am looking for new rope. I calls clackacraft and they recommended buying a zigco anchor pulley, which I may try

The Zigco is killer.  Bought one on the Missouri last fall due to heavy weed in the water, couldn't reliably raise or lower anchor (I run a double line).  Depending how your anchor bracket is set up, some swivels are hard to mount properly.  Have had zero issues with the Zigco, it works slick as hell.

Usually the radio frequency band is posted on the access sign to the haul road, and km's are marked going in and out.  I spent a pile of time driving logging roads going to rigs, and yes, the loaded logging truck has the right of way, for obvious reasons (Taco has a way with words as always....)  Call "empty" going in, and "loaded" going out, with your km marker. It's easy to get lost in remote areas, or get off the main road, or hit the ditch/get stuck, so having a radio isn't a bad idea from a safety standpoint either..   I've had to change my shorts once or twice after near misses with fully loaded logging trucks.

Cultural Appropriation is the reason your daughter, if you have one cant dress like her favorite Disney character on Halloween anymore.

Apparently it doesn't apply to the rich and famous as our prime minister is prone to playing Mr. Dress up on the world stage without any repercussions.

Your photo is better than a filet in a frying pan that's for sure.

Yep, liberalism is a mental disorder for damn sure..........  and the sooner we send that imbecile packing the better.
