Friday, I was able to observe Fish and Wildlife shocking an area on the Elbow river. They commented that they were most interested in rainbows for their study. I'd imagine at this time of year, they were trying to identify if/how many rainbows would use the Elbow up to the dam as spawning grounds. Saw some nice size Browns in the nets. Most were 12-14s with some whities. It was interesting to watch how the current from the electrode made the fish react. A first for me and a good education at lunchtime.
