McLeod Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 So someone has asked me this question and I just don't have the answer.Maybe some knows but is there a service which operates in Banff National Park that packs in and out camping gear to a requested site ? Kinda like a Sherpa guide I guess. Quote
Pipestoneflyguy Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Timberline Outfitters (Paul Peyto's outfit) in Lake Louise will do this in areas where horses are permitted. I also use a local kid as a porter, If you pm some specifics I might be able to find you someone - also,... most climber's will work for bits of food and shiny trinkets. LOL Quote
Guest 420FLYFISHIN Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 whats total weight you want to bring up? Im an avid backpacker and wouldn't mind getting payed for it. P.S. take you stuff out with you to save 50% of the $$ and its allot lighter without food in it. Quote
rehsifylf Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 If you want it into Assiniboine lodge, you can get it helicoptered in for $2 per pound (each way). Not in Banff - but right beside it in BC. http://www.canadianrockies.net/assiniboine/helobook.html Quote
