Bowcane Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Every time I go up that way and look at this creek I think "gee thats a nice little spring creek, wonder whats in ?" Usually, some of the locals start giving you the evil eye, however I once asked one of them about it. They flatly denied the existance any sort of fish in it, then told me to go down to the Bow and fish, which was in full run-off at the time. So whats the real deal with it? Quote
bigbowtrout Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Its mostly used as a spawning ground and at that magical time of year you can stand on the bridge in town and see a lot of nice fish in the slower water doing there dance. I know some guys that fish the creek once and awhile and do Ok but for me it's not really worth it but that's just me. Quote
lonefisher Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 it holds the odd fish. At times you can even find the odd pod of whities. But the creek doesn't really flow enough to have many fish in it except at certain times generaly when you can't fish it. They did some mitigation work to add a couple of wintering holes (I imagine to increase the population) I have yet to see a fish in one. Quote
