Fishing A Dropper

I was just wondering how exactly everyone likes to fish a hopper dropper on the Bow. More specifically, do you add ay extra weight to your dropper and do you swing the rig as when nymphing? What about two nymphs under a dropper? Distances between each? Also, in faster water my hopper goes under on every swing. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I add a small shot for faster water. For shallow water, ~6' leader, big hopper, ~3' of tippet to second fly and 4" tippet to third small nymph. Try tying two half hitch knots after your clinch knot. Google it, it's called a riffle hitch. (Maxwell showed me all this) Makes the head of the flies ride really high in the water. Causes a nice wake.

im no pro ,but at this time of year i use a caddis and a squirrel about two feet apart and fish it in shallow water.dont worry about your top fly going under on the swing, fish will nail it on the swing to.the nymph usally has a beadhead but it doesnt have too.make sure your hopper will hold up your nymph.again im no pro ,hope this helps.oh you may want to where gloves when tying on a squirrel
