Last time out I had my wifes camera in my vest pocket and while reaching down to try and unsnag myself in thigh deep water I managed to soak the front of my vest including her camera!! Fortunately it's still working. Thinking about getting one of these: Has anybody tried one? Know if they work well? I find using a zip lock bag a bit too tedious myself.. Flytyer Posted May 30, 2007 Share Posted May 30, 2007 There are underwater housings out there but they can be pricey but not all....I have used several in the past and found that all the ones I tried are awkward to use. Best thing I can suggest is look around and see whats out there used....who knows you may find a used Pentax Optio W 20 or 30 at a decent price that will solve your delma. admin Posted May 30, 2007 Share Posted May 30, 2007 the WP10's are nice and not that expensive. If you're in the market for a new camera, it's worth looking at. I've seen them well under 200.00 on ebay. The olympus is also a nice one, I beleive it is also shock proof and can be dropped with no ill effects.
