I’m considering whether to build my own jet ski dock or purchase a professionally manufactured system. Building one myself might offer flexibility and lower upfront costs, but I’m concerned about durability, safety, and installation requirements.

For anyone who has completed a DIY project, how difficult was the process, and what materials worked best?

Were there unexpected expenses or maintenance problems afterward? I’d also like to understand whether permits, shoreline regulations, or anchoring requirements could affect the project.
