Good day all just wondering if it is better to start to learn in a lake , river or stream, Have tried the Bow now for 2-3 years and just not sure what i need to do to at least get one trout to take my fly I have taken the course from Hansen' have gone out a couple of times with Chris Brid, But really starting to give up hope! Any help would be appreciated.

I learned on a beaver dam. Where there was a bunch of little brookies. Just had fun with it. So my suggestion is to find a place like that. Start small and go for volume at first. Learn from each hookup. Then go after those dream fish. After 25yrs I still haven't hooked mine but that changes every year. That's the fun of it.
