Never heard back or when I called to see when the classes would start.. no news. I signed up at Fish Tails, I'm going on the other side of the city to learn how to make my own flies.. I know I'll enjoy making my own flies.. Quote

Harps Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 Hi FisherWoman Like mentioned above Fly Angler's Online has a great Beginner site. http://www.flyanglersonline.com/flytying/beginners/ The author works you through a bunch of great lessons. Hipwader (Canadian FF Site) also has a really good online flytying course. http://hipwader.com/flyfishing/oreillys-fl...y-tying-course/ Here is some Hook and Hackle (Calgary) info. I've used this stuff to help beginners before. http://hookandhackleclub.tripod.com/btying.html (the site has pop-ups) Their are also some videos on http://www.hook.tv/ and you can download the PBS series "Anglers Art" Online ( http://kwsu.org/Offers/OMNFlyTying.aspx ). Its a great series and you can get over 50 of the half-hour shows for free!!! These are the program descriptions. And You tube has some tying videos, along with the rest of the junk on there. NOTHING beats a good hands on course, though. Cheers Quote
