A Great Weekend Fishing In Fernie

Wen't down to Fernie about a week and a half ago and it was just outstanding. Couldn't believe how good the fishing was and can't wait to go back for more.

looks like some great fish, id fish that river way more if it wasnt soo much money (for a student). do rules change below the elko dam?

I agree a little pricey but worth it and it keeps the number of fish up there. But I still agree it that it's pricey and you still have to drive all the way there and back and that's not cheap on gas at all. A couple of trips down there a summer is all I'll be doing.

 

As for the rules changing below elko dam I don't think so cause I was down in the spring and fished below that section and still need to buy the classified daily licence.

I am really thinking about giving the Elk a try next year. I haven't been there since 1999. Mainly, because the cost is prohibitive. It is a lot of money for a couple of days spent fishing in S.E. B.C.
