hawkeye Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 Hey all, I've got a copy of the fishing regs and am trying to figure out where on the Bow River the Carseland Weir is, where the Western Headworks Diversion is, and where Bearspaw Reservoir is. Just moved here and and just got a license and wanted to fish tonight but without knowing where its legal I think I'm gonna have to wait until tomorrow! Thanks for your help! Bill Quote

ladystrange Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 to make it easy for you Hawkeye. the bow is open all year from the weir at 17Ave/deerfoot - south except for the tributaries in the bird sancutary. stay on the main river and you will be fine. and dont fish right at the weir. man made obstructions have other regulations - no fishing within 25 meters i believe. as for locations to go... i dont fish the bow a lot, you could try entry from southland dog park or 130AVE from deerfoot chuck some streamers or try nymphing. have fun and tight lines Quote
