fish4trout Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 What would you guys say the drift time is from police to mac and mac to carseland, this time of year in a 12 footer with not many stops. Thanks! Quote
Tungsten Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 The flows would be about the same as April so drift times are the same.So about 12 beers for each drift.Pending on ice of course so it could go up to 48 beers and a rescue from the fire dept.Either way bring lots of beer and an ice pick maybe 100' of rope a couple of blankets and a lighter don't forget the lighter. Hope this helps. Quote
fish4trout Posted November 21, 2011 Author Posted November 21, 2011 Cmon, its going to be +8 this Wednesday. Not all of us have mon-fri 9-5 jobs. Obviously I will have survival gear and warm clothes in case of worst case scenario. What would the drift times be like in April? Thanks! Quote
Tungsten Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 What would the drift times be like in April? About the same as November. Ha ha! I drive by the new weir on deerfoot and 17th and all i see is ice.So mac to carseland would be out my guess is Johnson's island is all ice. police to mac should be open all the way i would think you'll have to push the boat out on ice at Police and the same at Mac. If i were to float at this time of year and put in at Police i would stay in the boat until i got to the down stream side of the cotton wood golf course, thats about 1/4 the way time yourself then you'll no.The mansion run is about half way. Start early! Quote
