Tweaking Needed

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

Been fly fishing under a year now, and one thing I have never come across on any forum is when do you hit the rivers? What time do you make your way streamside and why? Does it depend on what trout your going after ie, browns vs bows, or is it more weather specific. My casting is getting better and I am getting into fish, but still have lots to learn. TIA everyone.

"The best time to go fishing is when you can." - Ed Zern

I actually agree with that statement. I caught trouts last week in a lake during high noon time and this week-end I fished morning noon and evening and what I have noticed is that there are time that the fish will go in a feeding frenzy and you look around you and see everyone is catching something then bamm, all catching stops as if the fish were talking to each others. Get out there and like I say to my son "there is only one way to catch a fish and it's with the line in the water"

Good luck
