I tied a special Halloween fly for a friend and neglected to mention the glow in the dark nail polish I'd used on it. I guess his wife tried to swat it at about midnight one night. Fabricland has the thread in various colors except red, which of course I wanted. Michaels has white glow in the dark yarn which I would like to dye but I'm thinking it may not glow afterwards. I would have to assume the thread has a phosphorous coating which would produce the greenish yellow color. That's probably why the yarn only comes in a white color. lonefisher Posted September 8, 2007 Share Posted September 8, 2007 I believe there is also some that will glow a flouresent orangey red colour...... there is a product called gibbs glow yarn and imho it doesn't glow at all......... other products may be better but I have not used any.....
