Anyone ever use glow in the dark thread / yarn for any patterns and if so was it beneficial to use it?

I tied a special Halloween fly for a friend and neglected to mention the glow in the dark nail polish I'd used on it. I guess his wife tried to swat it at about midnight one night. Understandable, given the 3 inch wingspan.

Glow in the dark beads? Thanks for the tip, never tried them.

Fabricland has the thread in various colors except red, which of course I wanted.

Michaels has white glow in the dark yarn which I would like to dye but I'm thinking it may not glow afterwards.

Where did you get the beads?

JSYK, Weedy, I've been told that regardless of the color of the thread, it all glows the same greenish yellow. Still, it may be worth a try for deeper holes and lakes, even in daylight.

Yes that makes sense Flyangler. I would have to assume the thread has a phosphorous coating which would produce the greenish yellow color. That's probably why the yarn only comes in a white color. Thanks, you saved me wasting some time looking for the stuff.
