Xplorer Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Hey Guys, Is there some science to determining what the bow river conditions might be like regarding open water vs slush. I have tried to hit the river 3 times in the last few weeks with it being slush everytime. I have tried warmer and cooler days with no luck. Do you just have to keep trying until you get lucky? Thanks for all tips. Lance Quote
EveretteD Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 i have been out about 3 times as well.. i have found that the city sections are pretty much slush free. I was down at policemans last week and it was pretty brutal for slush. I dont know about any farther south or at fish creek. But north of fish creek seems to be fairly ice free.... Guest 420FLYFISHIN Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 once it hits -5 the slush lets up a bit. Some where between the autocircle and fish creek the majority of the slush melts Quote
