Very easy tie, and works extremely well

I fish these two together, putting the sinking one as my first fly, then putting 3 feet of tippet from it's shank too the floating one. This will give it the image of bobbing in the water. I retrieve with small erratic strips..works to great success on ponds and lakes, will have to try them on the bow..should work well on the swing

Ya..i was going to ask from reading the other posts about boatmen do you want a floating or a sinking? I guess you can do both at the same time. Should i be fishing those in deep water, shallow, close to shore. Also are they just called boatmen at the fly shops or is there another name?
