ÜberFly Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Is it worth sealing new concrete (*edit* specifically a concrete driveway)?! Opinions, experiences sought... Thanks in advance. P Quote
Pipestoneflyguy Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Absolutely P~ As long as it's cured (dry and cold) & been at least 24 hours after pouring Choose a day after a hot sunny day (prefereably a couple in a row) a lower the humidity the better - right now would be good time actually It will give you longevity and help prevent stains, and make them much easier to remove. EvilWeevil Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 if you are doing just a broom finish on the concrete you should seal it right after the finish is done it helps lock in the moisture and helps the concrete to cure better if you are going to acid stain the concrete you should wait till after the acid staining also if you are not going to apply the sealer right away you should lay poly over the concrete to help lock the moisture in for the curing process Quote
Mudflap Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 I in the bizz....... make sure you do 2 coats, contact northland construction supplies and ask for type of sealer. No I do not work for them Quote
navigud Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 you are going to need a big truck to steal a driveway....... or did I read that wrong? Quote
