i was reading the chicken topic and it got me thikning - is it legal to keep a phesent, other bird beside chicken as pet ?

 

CAn i keep a chicken or 2 if i clame it is my pet?

 

where do i find the bilaws about what is considerd a pet and what is live stock or waht is a wild aminal? what about a pet fox or gopher if it is tame and inside my home ?

 

what about a trout or pickeral in a tank?

You can not keep wild fish (alive in a tank) in Alberta without a permit. Permits are really for research and education only.
