Back in October the wife and I separated, (sounds bad in hind sight not so much).

 

looking for a good (bulldog) of a family/divorce lawyer. any advice would be helpful.

If she's taking half your *hit, sell it all to a non mutual friend for peanuts, give her half the cash (make sure you get receipts) and then buy it back from your friend in a little while under the table style lol.

Sorry things didn't work out. Alberta Divorce Law is pretty cut and dried, not like in other places. Any Lawyer specializing in Divorce law should be fine.

ick, i'm so glad that everything was 50%/50% with my ex in the divorce, split the house and went our own ways. i just used divorce online.ca and had him served while we were doing the house stuff with the real estate lawyer. it was pretty easy. they even have the separation agreement documents, which really is what covers all the who gets what and entitled to pensions, investments, kids, blah, blah blah...
