  1. I have a pair of Metal Heads Korkers and a pair of Redside Korkers... I have made many miles On the Redsides in the Last 18 months, And still nothing wrong with them at all.... Just bought the Metal Heads three weeks ago, so time will tell I guess.... I really like the fact you can change the soles, and have never had the soles fall off like the old style Korkers... The Rubber Studded soles are totally awesome for traction on Slippery rocks and ice.... Mind ya I have lost a few studs out of the soles, but hey 40 bucks for new soles is better than buying new boots... So far Im thinkin its the price, durability and changeable soles that are goin to keep me in Korkers for the next while....

    Cheers... Jeff..

  2. Jeff, the fish were rockets. Great fun catching fish where you are completely out of control. Chrome bullets flashing under the water and flying out for long distant jumps.

  3. Right on, good stuff... Congrats on your big Sturgey.... I cant wait to get back at er', the power of those big Sturgeon is amazing..... Nice to see the Sturgeon makin a come back.... We got lotsa small ones last year as well... I started Sturgeon fishin last year with some guys that have been doin it for years, and they say they have never caught so many small Sturgeon as of the last three years, so thats a good thing.... Catch and release Regs sure have helped these Sturgeon make a come back in the SSR... Thanx for the report and pics...

    Cheers... Jeff..

  5. An old friend and I explored that whole area in my 4x4 couple years back.... Was truly epic country and adventure.... We never spotted any fish either..... We made it to the spot where it says no more vehicles beyond this point.... According to a map we were fairly close to the narrows of Lake Minnewnka.... We did however meet a few ice/rock climbers they mentioned it is one of the best places around to climb.... I might be able to find some pics, and post them...

    Cheers...Jeff..

  6. Dry fly or nymph?

    Oh, I forgot... :masterbaiter:

I gotta get me a sturgeon, someday soon...

LOL.... Honestly, I have bin thinkin off riggin up a big old fly rod with a Sturgey Rig If we find a deep pool And they are in close, and just kinda lobbing it out there.... Ill for sure to report if that happens!!... My one Buddy I work with says he knows a spot that it could happen, once the water comes down a little more.... He has caught Sturgeon in The later Summer right tight, about 10 feet out in a certain spot.... That would be cool....

    Cheers...Jeff..
