picked up the largest battery i could find at costco
works great! motored around bullshead for the morning and afternoon and still had over half the battery left

yeah tell me about it, i took a pretty big hit the last couple days. looks like ill be sitting on it for a while now to recoup my funds but all reports say its undervalued still. bought alot more this am at the basement bottom prices

i just recently sold all my canopy shares. just steady losses. Took that equity and put it into all Aurora

my Aphria stock gained 14% valuation in a couple days. id say thats not too shabby
also bought some shares in Aurora and its steady climbing.

practice on a lake. or get out on a float with someone, then they can row over the difficult stretches and over the super slow moving stretches they can give u practice.
im sure you have a line up of guys offering to help

Fishtek - I had the same comments re keeping the city stretch closed in the spring and fall to protect spawners.
I like the full C&R proposal though. Will make it a lot easier to call people in when you see them bonk a fish, you don't have to long-distance eyeball measure the fish or try to figure out whether it is a whitey or a trout.

i find it takes a couple +5 days before the slush and icebergs thin out enough to get a nymph in the water. it really depends how motivated and persistent you are ha ha

persosonally i want to go the easy route on any holiday. don't want to add to my already long to do list but my wife kept wanting fresh cut, one year i finally gave in, one day she saw a bug crawl out and now we go fake tree year after year

I cleaned my boat out, put the fabric cover over it then wrapped it completely in a tarp.
It is now sitting in its permanent home until spring or the next extraordinarily nice day.
what do you guys do to prep for winter? where do you guys leave it indoors or outdoors?

I went with Rogers.
We had presentations from ADT and Liberty, but rogers came on top. all i was looking for was door and window and glass break sensors as all my video needs were taken care of with a outdoor 8 camera cctv system.
The price was reasonable per month. 2 year contract. first year was 19.99, second year 39.99
This included the app as well. Most other companies charge minimum 49.99 for that service
we paid alot for equipment but we got alot of extras as i was looking for fort knox.
4 months in and im super happy with my choice

i am no where neara guide but, perhaps myself or someone on the board could help you out? I see you're in cochrane area. I float that section quite a bit....and the bow.....hike a lot as well.

Im willing to take Sallinger out on a float down the bow. If someone wants to cover the shuttle fee. id definitely be down.

i've had my Simms g4z for about 4 years now, first and second year i put about 150 days a year each year. with lots of hiking around the bush
now with a child probably get out about 50 times a year with absolutely no holes, leaks or tears, very happy with the quality.
also the simms riverteck boots are 4 years in and going strong, first day i got them i put the cleats on them.
just this past year i bought a new pair of guides just for the boat and absolutely no complaints.i bet i can still get another good 4-5 years from the riverteck boots

Im flying in for work tomorrow and my work will only require me to do about 1 hour of work in a three day trip as i am required to stay there for three days.
planning to bring up my rod and hopefully find a stream or i guess a lake to fish from.
anyone know any rivers to fish nearby? or decent lakes that are fishable from shore?

Anyone have experience with this? couple of my buddies and I are determined to throw rapalas for an entire float to see how many tanks we actually can connect to.
plan is to use 5 of diamonds and rapalas CD-5's and pound the banks. i assume its the same as streamer fishing except for noobs ha ha.
any advice would be appreciated
