  1. I use switch rods on the coast for Salmon/Steelhead and in the Bow. They are ideal for fishing small runs or where you don't have muck room to make a D loop. I can chuck streamers with a 10th of the effort of a single hand and likely am able to cast twice as fast. The best part is the amount of control you have over the fish when you are bringing them in, I hooked into a Chinook last year in a small run and I can assure you would not have landed it with a single hand.

  2. Honestly the Bow is not that bad. A few times people have jumped in front of me in a run or floated through something I was fishing. I deal with it by telling them off or casting at them. Try fishjng the Vedder in early January, it's nuts! There is nothing wrong with jet boats I've seen them used in smaller rivers than the Bow.

  3. I have a 450 of that line on a super cheap St Croix switch rod I have and I really like it! I have a 420 compact skagit I use on the same rod, I do like the switch line better.

  4. well i purchased a setup i got a12' #7 greys grxi+ rod with a grx900 reel . i ran rios technical shooting line and airflo 510 skagit compact .last but not least i bought a set of med mow tips.what are your guys thoughts on this setup comments and tips much appreciated

    I have one of those rods, great for just about anywhere. I've been fishing it all winter in the Bow.
