But I'm wondering about ice fishing? Like what you use as a rod rig, lures that type if thing. Even is there a spot to go close to calgary.

Not tha I want to keep them all or even one at that. I have just heard and read about the problem they are and how they want to mange them through harvesting.

I walked up it for about two hours fished ever hole I found and like I said in another post all I got was a couple six inchers. Was wondering if there was anything bigger if I walked from Macleod toward the bow if there was anything bigger there.

The day went awesome other then a flat at the end of the day. Between me and seanD I think we got about 15 fish. There wasn't really any under two pounds. It was basically the best day I have had. SeanD gave me enough great pointers and tips that I got my first fish on the dry!!!. But it was the last fish of the day that got me. I was just throwing out a streamer just to do it cause I knew we where going to walk out in a few. Last cast in my head and wham there was my fish. Good day out!!
Thanks to mr. Bojangles for picking us up that saved us!!

I'm not too sure where to hit up it will be my first time running that road. Sure that any place I try there should be a fish or two. It will be great just go see it.

I got a six incher the other day

I'm goin to head down the forestry trunk road for the first time on Monday. Was wondering how long it takes to get there from calgary. Not asking for the sweet spots but if you want to tell me ill listen. Haha.
But wondering where a newbie could start off and what have you had hits on.
I haven't got a fish over six inches to the bet yet so I want to change this with this trip.

Have they said what is in the cars. Either way that bridge should have be inspected way better. This could be so much bigger then too much water. This is bigger then just fishing.

It was an awesome feeling hooking on to a nice fish. It gave me a few jumps but I couldn't get it to shore. Since Sunday I have been dreaming of the fish that got away.

i was out yesterday, this is my first season, down passed the water treatment plant and it was fast and muddy, the oddest thing was that i saw about five fish head out of the water feeding. on what i am not too sure cause there was so much crap in the water to tell. it was super cool to see though.
I have heard the same thing about near the banks and streamers or worms. I still have had no luck. i waiting for the big one to hit my fly. best of luck

I'm in Dover living the dream. Lol. Close to the river it is just like at home in New Brunswick five minutes away. I want to hit the poop drain tomorrow night to see if any browns are hangin on the seams

I got my first hook last weekend. Was making sure the knot was good and tight, slip and there I was with a hook in the thumb. I thought that there was a bard still on it cause I did have a chance to pinch it. To my relief it was a fly I already used and it pulled out easy. I was sweating though thinking about the bard.

I want to get into the mountains and try my luck there. I just need to find the rivers and how to get there. Is there any good maps to grab somewheres. Or even better names of places I should look at going to try

I think you have the right idea - try to get out with one of the super-slayers on here and let them critique your technique
That would be awesome to be able to get out with some one who can teach me a thing or two

I got out to fish creek and no luck. I tried a sjw I think I had a strike, it didn't feel like rocks. I have to work on my presentation. Oh well next time. I'm up for a go anytime after about five or six if anyone wants to join.

I'm hoping to get out today or tomorrow. It depends on work and weather. I was thinking on heading to fish creek. I do t know the area too well but can get to the ranch restaurant, which is a tasty spot. I don't have too many flies so ill try a sjw and a prince bead, both tied but me. So here is to hoping.
The question is how do I drive to a, not your secert spot, spotting practice a few casts and maybe hook on

i was wondering if there was any one with tips on where and what to get for a beginner skier. im not looking to spend a heap of money but would like to get into the sport for the winter. thanks
