  1. Hey guys just got back from a long over due fish catching trip. Been on vacation in Australia for 6 weeks and never even caught a cold the hold time i was there, talk about some bad luck.

Packed up the tent and hit the road to some of my fav fishing spots in the world.

Day one was all about the dries. Stimulators, Caddis, Humpies, Stones and Hoppers. Cutties and Rainbows were hitting everything!

The evening rolled in some thunder showers and the extreme winds of up to 95KM/Hr stayed into the next days afternoon. Was a tough go fishing in winds so strong it was blowing sheets of water off the surface but i found a bit of a sheltered pool, threw on a streamer and was smashing it! Never had such a great bull trout day in my life. Landed 10 19"+ Bulls all on my left over saltwater flies from Aus.

  2. Was fishing a month or so ago with Murray, we were coming back on the boat and i had a few good shocks through the graphite. Took me a few minutes to realize what was going on aswell. It was fine on the cork obviously. Changed me way of thinking about fishing in a storm tho!

Edit: Just a few seconds, not Minutes ;)

  3. I've tried the above mentioned method of using the thread to tie it in. That method lasted even less time casting hence using wire to tie it in. Im now thinking its the chenille as ive even tried not using head cement. No dice. I'll try a few more methods and keep everyone posted, Worst comes to worst ill just tie wire worms!

    Thanks guys,

Hey guys been tying some San Jaun worms and keep facing the same problem. Chenille always snaps right at the same point. This is an updated version in which I used the wire to set the chenille ends rather than the thread. The fly was soaked in water based head cement.

    Any tips?

  5. The site is below par compared to some other forums

Read a few of your posts in the last hour and find them all to be absolutely pointless and bring nothing to the table other than reviving old threads to bring your post count up.

A more productive way of posting would include an example of why this forum is "Sub-Par" and possible ways to help this issue.

Lets try and keep this forum moving forward with informative and inspiring posts. Leave the filler at home.

  6. I've been tossing around the idea of getting one this summer myself. Doing some searching ive heard great things about the Feathercraft BayLee 2 HW and was wondering if anyone has any experience with one of these.

TBH the Assault looks way better for fishing as you sit quite a bit higher. But the 11lb Baylee looks so enticing for those backpacking trips!
