I just saw that my town wasn't posted, its Airdrie (been fishin ES2), I was a little general with the "Alberta" discription. Very new to fly fishing, the area and forums(no good at computers!). Thought I'd start with rookie questions, Does anybody know of an artical or explaination on hook size and length? Like is it overall dimension, wire gauge, shank to point dimension, etc.... Also any recomended books on tying for our area (alberta), as far as patterns/colours, and insect ident/calendar life cycle for our area. There are many books out there but all spendy! Thanks for any input. RD
