I purchased some Hatch reels and I must say I am very impressed so far. Hatch would be my vote.

I have been a tibor, and nautilus guy.... but i think my next one will be a hatch reel. It is getting great reviews in the US and BC.... I really like the construction of this reel.

the tibor signature 9-10 is 9.5 oz and the 7-8 is 8.5oz

i think the signature will do fine... hope anyways.. it is an oz lighter than their spey 8-10 reel and 3oz lighter than their 11-15 spey reel. the diameter almost look the same. hmmmmm

Hello everyone... would like some help here as i am thinking of purchasing a new reel for my 9 weight sage fly rod. on the other hand i am also interested in learning to spey fish mainly for the west coast. now I am looking at the Sage TCX 7-8 spey. looking at the specs of the new tibor signature 7-8 or 9-10 do you think it will work well with both rods. of course i would have an extra spool one with my fly line and one with spey. If anyone could help me out here that would be great... Thank you
