  1. Lamson Litespeed. Unbeatable for the price, nearly impossible to scratch and a amazing drag
  2. Simms Vibram. Stud them if you're not likely to be in a drift boat or pontoon and spend time on rivers with lots of slippery *hit. Plus they dont have the flaws of the Korkers where the soles never quite go in the same way after the first change.
  3. I should be around for this one! Can you cover something on spinning Amherst? It's a right bitch..
  4. That guy(if im thinking the same) was pretty well breaking the law with the amount of silt he was adding to the river. The fine would be well over the $20. Saw him on my trip in August I believe
  5. If you are truly interested in getting this signed, why don't all of the shops have them? There are at least another 4 fly-fishing orientated shops that do not have the petition (did you ask them and they say no?), as well as Bass Pro and The Fishin' Hole. Let's get this thing DONE, would be great for those lakes
  6. Great idea, but i have a question. Why would the 50 cm and above limit protect spawners, considering that the vast majority of the fish found in the study were above 40 cm, Would this not induce a greater impact on the spawning population? Would it not be better to do something like the Bow, where it is 1 below a certain size (such as 1 below 40 cm). Or make it all C&R for a few years and see what happens (nonviable, i know). Rather catch a couple 50cm fish then a ton of 30cm fresh stockies..
  7. Do yourself a favor and drop the money on the Simms pant wader, if you're committed to a pant. Going to breathe better, last longer and better warranty then anything else on the market. If your buying pant waders form comfort, get the most comfortable on the market.. If you want a convertible, just get the regular G3s. the regular G3s can convert by rolling down the top and using the shoulder clips as a belt. Plus you wont lose the nice features like the hand warming pocket and inside flip out pocket. And going from waist to chest high or vice versa is quicker and fool proof. Oh and go to a shop that has people that actually have experience in wearing and selling waders, not somewhere where they're sold beside the snowshoes...
  8. ding ding. The legs are just small sili-legs threaded through micro tubing. Nothing impossible
  9. It's a Chubby Chernobyl Knock Off, only difference is the legs http://www.idylwilde.com/html/fly_gallery_landing.php
  10. Drove over the Elbow on highway 8 yesterday and noticed a younger guy fishing away...just a reminder that the Elbow is closed at the moment. Hope you're on the board and notice your mistake. Didn't have my phone to call you in
  11. I'd be all over this if i didn't already have a helios (amazing rods, btw) ..i think the wife would shoot me if she saw me bringing a new one in the house
  12. Orvis will charge a flat 20% on any orders coming over to Canada, making buying local actually cheaper
  13. Been hearing some absolutely awful things since they've gone away from their other service center and towards the Ontario dealer. Making me pretty apprehensive to go into that brand. Anyone had any experience with them lately See what i mean here: http://forum.flybc.ca/index.php?showtopic=22207
  14. I saw this on the tube the other night. Show was about Monster fish. Kind of cool. Is there any charge. I'll be in Calgary for the weekend
