Hello,

I started fly fishing 3 years ago and let me tell you I'm addicted! Its kind of interesting how I was even given an opportunity to take up this great sport. My wife and a few other ladies on are block organized a block party to get to know all of our neighbors. I happened to meet a life long friend and my fly fishing mentor that day! I happened to have all of the gear I thought I needed in my garage. I had won a Redington starter kit a number of years ago in a golf tournament. My new friend had recently moved into my neighborhood and just so happened to be proficient fly fisherman. We started by casting on the front line. I was bad but with his guidance and determination I picked it up in a few sessions. He helped me tie an old staple fly the black woolly bugger and the rest is history. I've had an exceptional start to my fly fishing career. I've caught a number of different trout species and most recently managed to catch a coveted Bow River brown well within city limits now that was awsome.
