  1. Awesome! Hey that must have been you with the tan dog .. you made a good choice to turn around as we bumped into a few more folks up that way and there were 4 of us. We did OK with a couple beauts too. Nice shots! That hive was freaky. The size of the opening made me wonder how bloody big was the queen bee?

Hey Brian. I dont think that was me you saw... I dont have a dog. I actually didn't see a soul all day on the stretch I fished- just a couple of guys where I started when I was leaving...

I saw about 4 of those hives yesterday - good thing they were vacant!

  2. Got to test drive one of G-Loomis's new PRO4x's today... pretty nice stick for the price range.(would be in its comfort zone chucking dries)

Anyways, here's a few pics from out and about today. Spent the morning cleaning ice off the guides, but once it warmed a little-so did the fishing. Moved quite a few nice fish today, and managed to find a few risers.(even caught the same fish twice today-once on a nymph, and then a couple hours later on a midge dry)

  3. I most often shy away from these types of discussions but, I'll share my experience with this board... When I first joined this board(I was a little late to the party), I thought - wow - a place where I can share reports and such with other like minded people. I will admit that I never thought about the consequences of naming a particular stretch of river, because to be honest it never really crossed my mind how many people frequent boards such as these. I posted a report about a particular spot and my PM box was filled shortly thereafter with blasts from a number of people here... At the time it bugged me a bit, but those people did have a point. I love other peoples picture posts and I love to post pictures(and will continue to do so), but I have realized that picture posts can be done carefully without "hotspotting", and reports CAN be generalized. Sorry for the rambling - I guess what I'm trying to say is that we do not need to kill pictures and reports all together, but I do agree with some of the above posters- that we need to protect some of our more fragile waters from the masses.(it took a few harsh PM's for me to realize that in the past)
