  1. Hey guys, I got a response from Loop Canada today. I think it warrants posting here.

    "Hi Cory,

For any Loop item purchased in Canada, you can contact us here at Loop Canada for warranty issues, whether the item is discontinued or not. On our end, if we do not have it in stock, then we make efforts to track it down in Sweden, USA, etc. If I may say, you contacting Sweden directly wouldn't be so much a dead end waste of time as it is simply the incorrect procedure. :)
As it happens, we do not have this part in stock, ( we have a few AEG parts, but no tip sections ). I have contacted Loop USA and as soon as I hear back from them, I will let you know. You can expect to hear back from us shortly.
    Cheers,
    Jennifer"
So there you have it. I might be okay after all. Great initial customer service anyway.

  2. Hey Gang,

I have a Loop AEG Series rod with a broken tip section that I would like to get repaired. From what I understand, I have to contact the Swedish Loop Service Centre as Loop Canada doesn't deal with discontinued items. It also seems like accidental breakage isn't really covered by their conditional warranty. Does anyone have any experience dealing with the Swedes?

  3. I know I've seen regs before (possibly in Ontario) that had something like Pike limit 2, but only one may be under 63cm and one may be over 63cm. If blanket regulations are going to be how we end up managing things, would something like that be effective in general? I understand that every lake is different (an unfortunately individual lakes don't get studied regularly enough), but what do the sciency folks think about something like that? That way, theoretically, you spread out the harvest while keeping things fairly straight forward.
