  1. I love getting out on the water, and all I need to worry about is the next cast, the drift. I like how I can lose myself in these things, and then get jerked back to reality when a fish grabs my fly and takes off.

  2. Collect 500 bucks worth of bottles and buy Weedy's fly tying materials - heck of a deal for 5 bills

I would love to, but $500 might as well be $5, 000, 000 as far as my finances are concerned. I'm hoping to scrape together some cash soon, so I can get started tying, but that's a ways off yet.

  3. Hi guys, I'm getting a little crazy hanging around the house. Due to other stuff in my life, I'm stuck in the house for most of my free time. How do you guys beat the cabin fever? I'd love to be tying flies, but don't have the materials, or the cash to buy some at the moment. Are there any good fishing podcasts or webcasts?

    Thanks,

  4. That's surprising to me that a guide would expect you to have your own flies. I have never taken a guided trip, but here are the things I would expect from the trip at a minimum:

The guide shows me where to fish.

The guide will provide the proper fly for what they are eating.

Like others have said, I can't believe that profits are so small that they can't afford to provide a dozen flies or so. I seem to lose a lot, and I don't think I've lost more than that in a day on the water.
