  1. Ive had the outcast discovery 8 for four years now and never had a problem. The only problem is that my good fishing buddy just got a drift boat so it hasnt seen much action this year. Easy to set up and it folds down into a goalie sized hockey bag. It can also hold tons of gear too without losing mobility. my two cents.\

  2. I know how you feel. It seems like a lot more people are making the trip down here from central and northern Alberta and degrading all our best fishing spots. We have to find a way to stop this before all our waters down here get so horribly degraded that we don't even get a chance at an absolute hog. I hate wasting my time catching 19" cutties and casting to big fish surfacing all over the place.

Not sure what went wrong with the trip?

    haha what a whiner

  3. Hey guys, i have a little question that i need answered! Me and my dad might head down to the bow this weekend and are looking to float it, we have 1 pontoon boat and 1 inner tube but i know that, that wont work. Would it be safe for me to sit on the back platform while he keeps the boat straight? Or would it make more sense to borrow a buddies pontoon to keep things safer?

    Any info is appreciated!

    thanks

You are absolutley crazy to try this. The possibility of catastrophe is very high. Rent a boat suitable for two people on the bow river. My two cents

  4. I was listening in the car and with like 20 seconds left Calgary scores and I was like "YES" we won. I turned the car off, walked up to my condo and grabbed a drink, turn on Sportscenter for highlights to watch all the awesome catches (Copeland). They finally showed Copelands catch.. But wait.. highlight package not over...... AND the Deadmonton Eskies score... I couldn't believe we managed to lose that game.

Get used to it you still have to watch the stamps get beat by the eskies three more times.

  5. The main hazard this weekend will be the one the fish will be feeling. Apparently the temperatures are going to hit the 30's, and there is already an advisory not to fish the streams on the Eastern slopes.

It would be my advice not to fish the ES streams this weekend, but if you must, you should fish them very early.

Myself, I will be fishing outside Alberta.

Somebody do me a favor though, and get some pics of all of the 'stewards of the wilderness' fly fishers out there this weekend who choose to ignore the advisory.

    Your my hero
