Well I live in Bonavista and I agreee with Lyn the deerfoot /Anderson bow botton exit system is messed, I was surprised to see traffic come to a stand still during rush hour.

I don't know about your money but here's a song about it.
With that song Dave, I think you broke every rule of this forum , lol

Lynn, I run the technology department at Staples across from chinook center, and we sell sirus satellite raido which seems to me to be the best (I thought I heard something about XM beeing bought out by Sirus) And we do sell the boom box that u can place the reciver in and thus making it portable. I also belive we have the portable unit that is also kind of like a ipod!
Anyways come stop by ask for Brad, that of course is me and I would be happy to sell you one, lol.
Btw, getting the lifetime membership I think is around $500 but its well worth it, cause you do not have to pay a monthly subscription.
Oh also before I forget, you see it cheeper anywhere else all I need to do is varifie the price and I will match it, and then knock off 10% of the diffrent on the price (Usally not that much but still makes us lower then anyone else!)

I like the forum and all the opitions it gives the user, my only grip is the color, I really liked the old forum with the black background, it was very nice for photo's and allowed the photo's to stand out a bit better. But hell I didn;t pay for any of this so all in all very good job.

As a flyfish of one year what I would recommened is that you get yourself a TFO rod, sure they are not the top qualility but Springbrook (the distrubtor for TFO) is located here in the city and for whatever reason if you break your rod it only cost you $25 per piece broken and they will replace it that way you are back on the river the next day. If you ask some of the hardcore guys here mst of them use the TFO rods. But try out a bunch and pick the one that you like.
As for reels I bought a Tioga and lets just say I abuse the reel so bad that it never made it inside the house all winter and still works very nice, I paied $155 for it. The mayfly reels are also a great beginner reel and to boot when you buy it it also comes with a extra reel.
I also recommened that you get yourself a pair of waders, and felted wader boats. Once again the Springbrook boots are very nice and with the felted bottoms it makes it alot easier to walk on those slippery rocks, but watch out for wet grass. I am very much enjoying my Wardell waders (once again a springbrook product) and I belive they are roughly about $220. Whatever you do make sure you get a pair of breathable waders as you will sweat like a pig in the summertime.
Some odds and ends are the following, Poliorized sunglass or any type of eye protection, the other weekend I had snagged up on bottom and when I pulled out my hooks they came fling out and hit me square in the sunglasses, thanks god I had them on or I might of only been seen a #4 SJW.

Yeah, what he did was uncalled for but also what about Pronger and his cheapshots and getting suspended twice in the playoffs now?
-
try using a barrel swivel, nice for adding weight to, stops alot of line twisting, and saves that $5 tappered leader.

As I have learned in the last year, the fight is where the battle is lost and won. Max can explain it alot better then I can but intitally, when you hit in a trout let it take its first panic run, unless there are some type of obsticals in the way, the rest I will let Max explain cause he can explain it alot better then me.

Could the fine you if you were a day early off opening? By principal it's to protect spawners so a day early wouldn’t hurt...
Like esleech said, I hope this is just sarcasim at its best, but if not, then wake up and smell the coffee, laws are laws, I could see it now, yes sir I shot that man with a gun but I boght it for hunting.

not a fan of the customer service there, 1 guy running the fly fishing section when there are 15 - 20 people walking around is not adequate
Hmmm everytime I walk into there I ALWAYS see two people between the till and two on the floor, and plus what store doesn't have problems with labour in Calgary?
I was in there on the grand opening and was help out very fast and got what I needed and was in and out quickly, I think some people have bad karma and it follows them around.
My take on this, if you don't like the store then don't go there it is as simple as that!

Lawernce, that last photo is sick dude, I love it.
Here are a couple of photo's from me.
How Do You React When You Lose A Fish?

Like most people, when I lose a fish you hear a argh afterwards, but that is about it, lately I have been losing a ton of fish with learning how to side pressure, either trying to swing the trout in or tring to aviod any obsticals that might get in the way. All in all its nice to have a fish on espically if it is a hawg that is boiling like a mad man or jumping out of the river like a dolphin.
