  1. Beauty of a Brown
  2. red copper wire and hook for me. Best thing, they are so easy to make. So easy, the wife can do them for me too. ( Not that I have gotten her to do them...lol)
  3. yeah. The underwater shot was a little mediocre. Gotta blame the photographer though. Don't think he knew how to use a camera. (rufus, way to pat yourself on the back)
  4. Well, Got out Saturday morning with the Bro-in-law to the Bow. Wasn't too bad. Water was definitley higher than it was the weekend prior. Way faster too. Visibility wasn't too bad, but not great either. Wow was there a lot of fluff. It looked like it was snowing. I was the lucky one this day, caught me a nice rainbow. Saw a few rising. One jumped at the end of my fly line on my first cast out. Cheers, Mike

    Evening On The Bow

That's a good lookin brown you got there
  6. Hey, I'm wanting to upgrade from my 2pc 6wt Sage Launch. I want a 4pc so it's easier to transport (like if i plan to fly to bc for a weekend sorta thing). I've been wondering what type of rod to get. My 2pc is a 9'0, and i'm wondering whether or not to stick with a 9'0 or go to a 9'6. Any ideas? I've been thinking about the Sage Flight as an upgrade from the Launch. I also like the VT2 but don't know if i'll notice a different. I'm not the most elegant fly fisher, and have only been doing it for about 4 yrs or so. I'm looking to all you guys for your wisdom to help guide my decisions. I've been floating the Bow more this year, but want a rod that is versatile enough to be used on lakes as well. Also, if i'm fishing the Livingston i want something that would work there too. Looking forward to your thoughts, Cheers
  7. Here he is out of the net...shows his size a lot better
  8. Here's the 21" Rainbow, notice the green on is side...it's like he's shedding...never seen this before. He's got it on both sides of him.
  9. Here's the Brown in the net
  10. Went on a Guided Bow Float with my Father-in-law and Brother-in-law yesterday. So far this year i've been skunked everytime i've picked up my rod. Well, not only did I end my slump, but I caught my personal best from the Bow. A 25" Brown!!!! A real Beauty. Tagged as well. Also caught a 21" Rainbow and the Father-in-law, who was in my boat, caught a couple 19" and a couple 13". We also caught a bunch of tiny babies around the Highwood. All in all, a wonderful day. Will post a couple more pics right away. Pics were 1Mb large, so trying to shrink them, unfortunately, quality is sacrificed a lot. oh well
  11. I recently bought the outcast 10IR w/ standing platform. I finally got it out on the water over the long weekend from a long wait being set up in my basement just taunting me. I'm a 320 lb man and it performed amazing. I wanted a boat that could hold me without any worries and this one did the trick. For the first time i was able to get out on the water with more than just myself and my rod and not worry about sinking the boat. I packed it full, had the motor, battery, cooler, me gear and all. By far the best purchase i've made for fishing. I was a little worrisome about the casting platform when i was looking at buying a boat, but heard good things about. When i got it out on the water, i tested it out in about 2' of water just in case i baled. Incredible. Nothing but stability. I tested it leaning forward against the stabilizer bar and didn't tip. I'm quite impressed with it. A wonderful feature to have. You can standup and stretch the legs, standing gets you up higher and gives better visibility when needed. Once again, for those considering a pontoon boat, I highly recommend the Outcast 10IR Standup. Cant beat the price at 850, and the quality is amazing. Mike
