Hey, welcome to the Bow - you've shown up to the party a few days early but it should get good soon. Thanks to the forum guys I got pointed to a bunch of hot spots. for starters though you might want to check out Southland for some easy access water. flies: worm, leeches, and stoneflies (stumulator, foam patterns, etc). May seem s bit early for them but I slammed a couple fish last night on them! Let us know how it goes. stevey

think it was a scierra reel - more trout sized but the same idea. Really liked the danielson reels though! Want to buy an eight weight rod so I can throw big stuff - just need to decide which one. Are all good for skagit?

I just finished reading your article toolman - loved it! You obviously are the 'king of swing'! Great pictures to. Is the guy in those pictures from fishtales? he looks like who was in there earlier . I recognized some spots on the Bow - cool to see something local. stevey

Thanks. Guess I have some learning to do. Took some of the advice and stopped into fishtales to look. They had some of those cassette reels that island guy mentioned . Seems like they have lots of spay stuff compared to when I last went in which is good as Id rather not send money to BC. Sounds like alot of guys like the TFO deer river rod. l picked up the magazine with the article to. Will read it after my shift tonight. tx stevey
