zed Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 i was checking out a stream on google earth today looking for access points and corners and what-not and noticed gps co-ordinates. does anyone on the board use a handheld gps device to find certain sections of rivers? is this worthwhile? any preference on model/make? dude1125 Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 I use a gps on floats to keep track of my moving average and stopped time to better judge my arrival time and how much time I have to stop to fish a stretch. Quote
Guest 420FLYFISHIN Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 great for trail short cuts and finding small goat paths that you have used before. I used a Garman 60xC for the first time on Saturday and with out instruction from the owner or manual i was able to figure out 80% of it. Few buttons and it really seams idiot proof with its prompts and labeling. Quote
