Teck71 Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 The other night my rod was blown off the roof of my van and now it seems to grind. like the spool is touching the housing some where. possibly spool got warped in the fall. reel is second hand so an orvis repair probably not likly. any ideas anyone right now I am back to my trusty mayfly (beat the absolute *hit out of this and it will not die) but the orvis was smoother and the extra pick up is nice Thanks Teck Quote

lorney Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 I don't know what Orvis warranty is like on their reels but I have sent back two different second hand rods with no warranty cards and have had them both fixed for free. They fixed one and sent me a brand new rod to replace the other one. You could always phone and ask. Quote
